About Technology at Decathlon

By joining Decathlon Vietnam as a front end developer, you will contribute to increase Vietnam‘s tech solutions and you will build a strong network with other countries (especially developers from APAC countries, India and France).

Your responsibilities:

In order to help Decathlon reach more sport users in Vietnam, you will:

• Partner with Vietnam functional team and international product teams to understand needs, propose effective system designs, to enable scalable and easy-to-support solutions.
• Develop front-end (react) projects, using scrum methodology, to improve Ecommerce user experience continuously.
• Perform issue investigation, use monitoring tools (eg: Dynatrace), to quickly troubleshoot, propose bug fixes and long term refactoring actions.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews and group brainstorming sessions
• Ensure cross-browser, cross-device performance, compatibility and responsiveness
• Writing clean code, reusable components and Front-end libraries for future use
• Learn and apply best practices, connect yourself with our tech teams around the world
• Keep up with the latest development techniques and security practice

Hard skills requirements:

In order to succeed in this mission you are able to demonstrate the following skills :

• You have a confirmed experience with ReactJS (2 years minimum)
• Proficiency in Redux, State Management, Functional or OOP, DOM manipulation
• Familiar with Javascript ES6 and later is a plus
• Expert knowledge with HTML5, CSS3 and media queries; SASS/SCSS is a plus
• Familiar in Agile methodology, and tools such as Jira is a plus
• Familiar in both client side rendering and server side rendering using NextJS
• Experience using source code management tools (GitHub or GitLab)
• Experience with RESTful API, client and server side using NextJS
• Experience working with large, pre-existing code bases
• Understanding of design patterns
