Transport & Customs Operations Manager (Export)

The Operations Manager will guarantee the development of the Operation teams to provide solutions of Transport & Customs at the best ratio of Quality/ Lead time/ Price and Environment. 

Operations team of this division manages 19,000 TEU of volume export out of Vietnam and Cambodia from more than 30 vendors, to over 14 destinations worldwide. 

This role is based in HCMC and reporting directly to the Head of Logistics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY 

Project Management : 

• Build & Manages the Export Transport & Customs division‘s overall budget and P&Ls, formulate business strategies and plan for division growth along with Country & Global strategy. 
• Build set of Key Performance Indicator to the team aligned with business objectives, and conduct actions with the team to reach the commitment
• Prepare team & operations‘ organization to support the business plan, considering strategic drivers, seasonality requirements and yearly turnover. 
• Evaluate changes required to support mid-term business requirements, considering 3PL, 4PL services and driving process and tool changes that support the strategy.

Operations Supervision: 

• Oversee the operations of Export process, collaborating with 3PL, 4PL and internal production teams for the management of vendor‘s cargo delivery & export documents, inbound and outbound of CFS warehouse, international transport services from Vietnam to destinations.
• Responsible for cost analysis of regular business, driving cost savings to improve logistics year on year and achieve the competitive level at the market. 
• Manages internal customer expectations and build good rapport with them to achieve the common objectives of Company
• Maintain and strengthen partnership with service providers (carriers, freight forwarding, control towers) in executing performance properly as well as deploying innovation, initiatives when necessary.
• Responsible to organize workshop with internal/ external stakeholders for continuous improvement and implement best practice to enhance and improve work flows/ SOP 

Human Development: 

• Coach and give guidance to operations teammates on operations and service level issues; 
• Train and develop long term career paths for teammates in division

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Work experience : 

• Minimum qualification is a Bachelor Degree in any related discipline
• 8-10 years of working experience in the logistics industry or related field
• Strong knowledge of export customs procedure, international transport services/ market
• Previous experience managing 3PL or 4PL services would be an advantage
• Complex Project management and Change management experience would be an advantage

• Strong interpersonal skills with convincing communication and proven record specializing international transportation & customs management
• Leadership skill, ability to monitor, train, coach, measure the performance of the team
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with  business needs analysis, data visualization and stakeholder management
