Your Mission: As a Methods Engineer for Footwear, you will play a key role in mastering critical processes such as boardlasting and bonding, which directly impact shoe fitting, durability, quality, and sustainability. You will be responsible for defining and improving these processes, ensuring high standards across the network, and driving innovations to achieve excellence in both product performance and environmental sustainability.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Boardlasting Process:

• Define and drive the mastering roadmap and priority areas.
• Create, monitor, and manage a dashboard of key figures for the boardlasting process.
• Establish and update process standards to reduce production risks.
• Explore and implement new technologies and solutions to enhance the process.
• Lead and coordinate the network to ensure production performance, quality consistency, and fitting excellence.

2. Bonding Process:

• Map chemicals and glue by suppliers to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Build and maintain a library of product bonding issues for continuous improvement.
• Define and implement a dashboard to monitor bonding performance.
• Develop and update bonding standards for the network to minimize production risks.
• Oversee bonding improvements and monitor progress.
• Facilitate the shift to water-based solutions for glue and chemicals to enhance sustainability.
• Lead efforts to maintain product durability and ensure production efficiency.

Key Results (OKRs):

• Achieve fitting excellence for soccer shoes.
• Ensure durability excellence through process improvements.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• At least 5 years of experience (Footwear is a plus).
•  Strong leadership qualities with a curious, open-minded, and collaborative approach.
• Proven expertise in managing complex projects.
• Strong functional management capabilities, particularly within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to apply an industrial mindset with a focus on process optimization and efficiency.
• Hands-on experience and deep technical knowledge in boardlasting, bonding, and soccer shoe construction.
• Skilled in process standardization, best practice sharing, and method development to ensure consistent results across production.
• Experience working with worldwide networks, with the ability to collaborate effectively across international teams.
