Job Description
OUR MISSION: In 2023, we implemented the SCF (supercritical fluid) process in Vietnam. The SCF process is a trend in the sole Footwear market for a few years. Decathlon decided to invest, and we just implemented the 2 first machines for this new innovative process inside the Decathlon industrial Panel. We want to master it, to be able to scale the technology. That’s the reason why we need to invest in a Methods Engineer position to Develop, Industrialize, Produce and Capitalize on SCF processes.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Sourcing & Mapping:
- Source and map the existing technologies on SCF processes to produce footwear products.
- Build a comprehensive SCF processes matrix to enhance the models manufacturing decisions: desirability vs feasibility (range, cost, quality, lead time).
*Development to Production:
- Develop, industrialize & produce the first finished goods products focusing on product and process performances driven by the capitalization of the datas: Quality defect rate, Process productivity, and Real cost of the process (Cost per minutes).
*Capitalization & Standardization:
Capitalize on all SCF processes to gain expertise in:
- Mold & Last vs. machine engineering guidelines.
- Compound formulation and database management.
- Machine maintenance SOPs.
- Standard layouts for machines and production lines.
Establish and maintain standards for processes, covering:
- Process specifications.
- Decathlon construction and production requirements.
- Decathlon control standards.
- Production performance data.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
- At least 5 years of experience in footwear.
- Leadership qualities with a curious, open-minded, and sharing demanding.
- Strong project and functional management skills.
- Fluency in English.
- An industrial mindset and technical expertise in compounds, molds, injection processes, and finished goods.
- Skills in process capitalization and methodology.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with global networks.
