MY JOB/ROLE OBJECTIVE:

I guarantee the quality and availability on time of the written content in my language, for our customers/users and for our Decathlon team mates

RESPONSIBILITY:

1. I guarantee quality of translations for my language

·       I am aware of the Decathlon and my country strategies, in order to determine the priority translations

·       I obtain context for the document and information about its use from the requesters

·       I ensure that the content is translated and/or validated by people who practice the sport in question

·       I ensure that the translated documents delivered meet the quality criteria (consistency and layout)

·       I build up a lexicon, to have the right terminology for each sport

2. I plan the workload of translation, to ensure delivery on time

·       I schedule and plan my workload (annually, monthly and weekly)

·       I follow and manage translation requests on a daily basis (new request, review, delivery)

·       I work with the requester to define a delivery date, according to priorities

·       I respect the delivery date agreed with the request

3. I manage functionally

·       I define and communicate my expectations and have them respected by my suppliers, colleagues and Campus services (terminology, quality, deadlines, conformity of tools etc)

4. I am skilled in and contribute to improving the organisations, tools and competencies of my activity

·       I follow training, and then train my colleagues and suppliers

·       I animate the translation process for my country, share it with other countries and Campus and help drive the improvements

·       When I am sufficiently competent in my role, I make time in my schedule, with the agreement of my leader/coach, to train and accompany one or more new Translation Leaders from other countries (be a referent)

5. I manage my economic activity

·       I negotiate translation rates and services with my suppliers

·       I set up an optimized cost organization

·       I track and forecast translation spending

6. I ensure the satisfaction of my customers

·       I survey customer satisfaction regularly

·       According to the results, I draw up action plans, deploy and monitor them

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

·       T/O growth of my country

·       Availability on time of product files

·       On-time translation delivery rate for other priority supports

·       Customer satisfaction rate

·       Number of sports translated or validated by somebody who practices the sport

·       Respect of my translation budget

THE PROFILE THAT WE NEED:

•      Skilled in functional management

•      Good communicator

•      Organized and rigorous, with the capacity to take a step back, in order to guarantee results

•      Capable of referencing and managing a supplier panel

•      Masters their working language as well as English and/or French

•      At ease with IT tools and has an understanding of translation (does not have to be an expert in translation)

•      Know how to do SEO
